In our war struck zone we have a saying "The good ones die first". This is the feeling that accompanied the shock of hearing of dear Anna's depart.
Anna was the kind of person that made a notch. Even with people that have met her briefly and maintained remote email/phone connection. From our CEO to the last engineer, working with her had an extra personal zest. (Imagine her sneering at this lament)
We have met Anna at her job as manager of interactive marketing for the L'Oreal Canada team and we are a software vendor for the L'Oreal group. Immediately Anna stood out amongst all her pears in the global group; In her ability to form personal ties, her endless energy and drive, and her head-on approach to complicated tasks. With this extra capacity she managed to deploy our most innovative technology two years before her colleagues, understanding complexities and setting priorities, managing a global integration project with teams in Paris, Israel and both sides of Canada to a successful deployment and maintaining her friendship with us throughout the stress. In summary she told me that it's all about the people: "I didn't pick up the technology, I just met Tsuri & trusted him" – and this didn't fail her.
Farewell fried, may you rest in peace.
